Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard will take part in three nearby regional events today. He will address more than 100 elder service and elder abuse prevention specialists at the annual Pinal-Gila Elder Abuse Conference at the Apache Gold Casino. Goddard will discuss the increase in neglect and financial abuse of seniors during difficult financial times. He will speak at about 12:15pm.
Goddard will meet with San Carlos Apache Tribal leaders and law enforcement officials at 2:pm. at the San Carlos Police Department. He will discuss issues of common concern, including the prevention of methamphetamine abuse and consumer fraud.
Goddard then travels to Superior to meet with town officials at 4:00 to discuss issues including effective law enforcement partnerships and prevention of financial exploitation of seniors.
