The Zonie Report website says that Arizona—which is tied with Nevada as the sunniest state in the union—lags far behind New Jersey when it comes to solar power. New Jersey is the 39th sunniest state.
According to the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, New Jersey has more than 70 megawatts in grid-tied photovoltaic capacity. That puts it in second place, behind California. Arizona is seventh on the list with a little more than 25 magawatts.
