Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard is warning consumers to be cautious when signing up for trial offers of nutrition supplements online. The Attorney General’s Office has received an increase in complaints from consumers who have signed up online to receive free or nearly free trials of nutritional products, such as Acai berry supplements. These consumers report being charged for additional monthly shipments of the product at full price or for other products or services they never agreed to purchase.
Goddard says people who purchase products online should look for fine print and other purchase agreements before agreeing to pay for a product. Also read through any information or agreements before providing an online company with billing or personal information.
