Globe Council Meets Tonight

Globe City Council meets tonight (Monday) at 6:00. They’ll hear a presentation from the Gila County Sheriff’s Office about the national WeTip program that has been known to significantly reduce crime and improve prosecution and conviction of criminals.The Council will consider and possibly approve an ordinance to establish camping restrictions in order to protect residents and businesses within the City limits. The agenda also includes a discussion about the special needs and priorities of the Police Department to be considered in next year’s budget. And City Clerk Gina Paul will give a presentation about the 2010 Census.
