The
National Weather Service is looking for storm spotters. Spotters are needed to look for dust storms, hail, high winds and localized flooding. There are plenty of spotters in the Valley, but help is needed in Gila and Pinal County and other rural areas. The Weather Service provides free training on how to look for cloud features that are associated with microbursts and tornadoes, and how to estimate wind speeds.
