The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the southbound lanes of State Route 87 at the junction of State Route 188 from 9:pm on Tuesday to 5:am on Wednesday. Southbound traffic will be detoured on State Route 188 to US 60 in Globe during the closure. The closure is necessary to remove the crossover detour on the SR 87 Slope Stabilization project. On May 12 the highway will be restored to two northbound and two southbound lanes.
