Arizona could receive $6.2 million for its state run rebate program for consumer purchases of new Energy Star qualified home applianaces. US Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced this week that a total of $300 million will be available nationwide from stimulus funds.
To get the funds, states must file an initial application by August 15 and a full one by October 15. States will receive 10% of the money after the initial application.
The program covers all appliances, heating and cooling equipment and water heaters.
