Gila County Sheriff John Armer reports that last week local and regional law enforcement made the third marijuana site raid within a month. Three separate marijuana sites were eradicated. The raids were a cooperative effort including the Sheriff’s Office, the Drug, Gang and Violent Crimes Task Force, Miami Police, Payson Police, Phoenix Police, the US Forest Service, Arizona Department of Public Safety, and Navajo County Sheriff’s Major Crime Apprehension Team.
The raids were conducted on September 17, September 29 and October 7 for a total of more than 7,700 marijuana plants. The plants had a street value of close to $10 million. Three suspects were taken into custody during the three operations. The investigations are still ongoing.
