HUD Announces $73 Million in Housing Counseling Grants

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development announces that nearly $73 million in housing counseling grants will go to more than 500 national, regional and local organizations. This is an increase of 22% over last year’s funding.

HUD says this will give hundreds of thousands of households a greater opportunity to find housing or keep the homes they have because of the housing counseling and counseling training grants.

HUD approved counseling agenicies also offer financial literacy training to renters and to homeless individuals and families.
