Police Log

A water main broke last night at Cedar and Hill Streets. The Globe Water Department turned off the water between Oak and Mesquite and between Broad and Hill Streets to make repairs.

There was a non-injury hit and run accident last night in the Fry’s parking lot. The case is under investigation.

A citizen found more than $6,000 worth of savings bonds at the Gila County Landfill. The bonds were taken to the Gila County Sheriff’s Office. They had been stolen in a burglary reported in September of 2009. The bonds were returned to the owner.

Gila County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40 year old Reena Steele of San Sarlos on failure to comply warrants for issuing bad checks, a probation violation warrant for possession of a synthetic narcotic, a DUI warrant, and a failure to comply warrant for driving with a suspended license.

20 year old Anastacia Henderson was arrested on a warrant for underage consumption.

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42 year old Lupe Renteria on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Mesa Police arrested 19 year old Jacob Johnson on a failure to comply warrant on an assault charge.

Globe Police are investigating a report of credit card fraud; a burglary report taken at a residence on Escudilla; a burglary at a residence on Ruiz Canyon; a theft at the Besh Ba Gowah Museum; criminal damage to a residence on East Street; criminal damage to a business on South Broad Street; criminal damage at the Globe district office; and a theft at a business on East Ash.

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office is investigating criminal damage to a vehicle at a residence on Golden Hill.
