Miami Council Meets Tonight

Miami Town Council meets tonight (Monday) at 6:30. They’ll consider a motion to support Bell Copper Corporation’s exploration and possible mining of the copper deposit beneath the Town of Miami. They’ll discuss and possibly act on a Resolution supporting public transportaion, and Miami’s application for federal transportation funds to continue operating the Cobre Valley Community Transit Program.

The Council will go into Executive Session for legal advice about the possible termination of a lease of the Barcon-Fitzpatrick Building, and possible renegotiation or amendment of the lease.
