The annual US 60 highway cleanup takes place on Saturday. It’s sponsored by Globe Clean and Beautiful and the Gila County Public Works Department. The clean up is part of the national Great American Cleanup.
Volunteers are needed to clean US 60 from the outskirts of Miami to the east side of Globe. If you’d like to help, come by the Little League Ballfield Complex in Claypool at 7:30am Saturday morning. Bring gloves, pick-up sticks, rakes, brooms and dust pans. Bags and vests will be provided as well as water, soft drinks and donuts.
At the end of the cleanup, Globe City Councilman Larry Alderman will cook hot dogs at the Little League Field.
