Arizona has the lowest cancer rates in the country. A report from the National Cancer Institute and Centers for Disease Control says Arizona has the lowest incidence of all cancers combined among men and women; the lowest rate of cancers in men; and the second lowest rate of cancers in women.
The Arizona Republic reports that even though Arizona cancer rates are low, more people in Arizona are diagnosed at later stages, emphasizing the need for early prevention and education.
