Gila County Board of Supervisors meets Tuesday at 10:am. They’ll adopt a Resolution expressing continued support of the Cobre Valley Community Transit program.
The Supervisors will also consider Intergovernmental Agreements with the Arizona Department of Transportation for two half million dollar projects. One would place pedestrian sidewalks along Six Shooter Canyon Road from Remington to Cherokee. The other would put pedestraian sidewalks along Main Street in Globe from Highway 60 to the intercsection of Golden Hill Road.
Another Resolution would declare support of ADOT’s Five Year Construction Plan project for reconstruction and lane additions to the Silver King and Superior Street sections of Highway 60.
The Supervisors will consider a Resolution asking the Arizona Department of Transportation to install either a signalized pedestrian crossing or flashing red lights operable by pedestrians on Highway 60 near Globe High School.
They will also consider an economic development grant for the City of Globe to use in the construction of the Old Dominion Historic Mine Park.
