National Safe Boating Week begins Saturday (May 21). Arizona ranks 5th in the nation for boating accidents. About 84% of drowning victims in recreational boating accidents did not wear a life jacket.
The National Safe Boating Council says accidents happen too fast to reach for stowed life jackets. But new styles are comfortable and lightweight. So don’t just carry a life jacket—wear it.
