The Gila County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found in the burning vehicle on Forest Service Road 177 on April 28. It is 58 year old Tempe resident Nicholas Golovin. The Sheriff’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office are working together to determine the cause of death. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Globe PD says the mobile photo enforcement unit will be in the area of Highway 60 and the overpass again today.
Last night Globe Police followed up on a shoplifting case and arrested 19 year old Renee Bookout for shoplifting.
Officers are investigating a burglary from a vehicle at a residence on Banker; a stolen property report taken at Fry’s; and shoplifting at the Claypool Safeway.
A Gila County Sheriff’s deputy cited an inmate at the Juvenile Detention Center for criminal damage to his cell.
