Tri City Fire Department—with the help of Canyon and Globe Fire Departments—put out a brush fre yesterday afternoon in the area of Upper Glendale.

Tonto Basin, Canyon and Tri City Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at Roosevelt Resort. The fire was put out before it spread to other properties.

Last night Gila County Sheriff’s deputies and DPS stopped a vehicle pulling a trailer on Highway 70 at milepost 252. The K-9 unit found 229 pounds of marijuana in the trailer. 64 year old James Morett of North Carolina was arrested for possession and transportation of marijuana for sale.

On Friday Drug Task Force Agents arrested 48 year old Richard Taylor for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

49 year old Larry Rhodes was arrested on failure to comply warants for drug paraphernalia violations.

44 year old Jeffrey Spivey was arreeted on a Pinal County warrant for probation violation on a charge of theft of means of transportation.

20 year old Andres Perez was arrested on a Graham County warrant for possesion of dangerous drugs.

Deputies are investigating a theft from a residence on Jess Hayes Road.

Yesterday morning Globe Police arrested 61 year old Rito Orrantia of Winkelman for taking items from the Salvation Army’s donation box.

47 year old Robert Holy was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of aggravated assault/domestic violence and promoting prison contraband.

22 year old Brandon Wright was arrested Saturday night for driving with a suspended license.

Friday night Globe Police arrested 30 year old Nathaniel Henry for aggravated DUI.

51 year old Michael Becker was arrested late Friday night for DUI.

18 year old Taegan Nosie was arrested on a failure to comply warrant for criminal damage.

Officers are investigating criminal damage to a business on Highway 188; a burglary on West Hackney; and criminal damage on East Mesquite Street.

Casa Grande Police arrested 48 year old Debra Falquez of Globe on a child support warrant.
