A new report from the Arizona Department of Transportation says that driving-related deaths in the state declined again last year.
The report says that 762 people were killed in car crashes in 2010. That’s a 5½ % drop from 806 deaths in 2009. It’s also a significant decline from a record 1,300 deaths in 2006.
ADOT says that 30% of last year’s driving-related deaths in Arizona were alcohol-related. But that’s down from 35% in 2009.
