This Friday (August 5) is the deadline for submitting nominations for Arizona Teacher of the Year.
Nominees should have gained the admiration and respect of students, parents and colleagues, and be active in their community. Teachers may nominate themselves or be nominated by a student, co-worker, principal, school or district committee, friend or family member.
The Arizona Teacher of the Year will be announced in November and will receive $20,000, a laptop computer, meet the President of the United States, and receive a full scholarship to earn a masters or doctorate degree in education at Argosy University. The winner will also compete for the honor of National Teacher of the Year.
Nomination forms are available at AzEdFoundation.org.
