Fire Update

Globe Ranger District fire specialists continue to manage two lightning-caused wildfires. The Frio fire in the Pinal Mountains has burned 2,100 acres.

The 650 fire north of Superior in the Superstition Mountains has burned 3,800 acres.

The current monsoon humidity makes it possible to allow lightning-caused fires to play their natural role in the ecosystem.
