Police Log

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office followed up on a case from last week and arrested 42 year old Pablo Salas for domestic violence/assault and aggravated assault on a minor.

On Friday night a deputy attempted to stop the driver of a dirt bike on Roberts Drive. The pursuit ended north of Bixby Road when the driver lost control of the motorcycle. Tri City medical personnel responded. The driver was later booked into the Gila County Jail for multiple warrants, evading a police officer in pursuit, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, aggravated driving, no insurance and no registration.

25 year old inmate Rafael Villela was served a warrant on a charge of criminal trespass.

Deputies are investigating criminal damage to a gate at the Cemex Plant on Hoopes Road.

Last night a Globe Police officer took a report of shoplifting at the Hill Street Safeway. A couple of hours later officers contacted two men who were walking on South Broad Street. 30 year old Kenneth Irving was arrested for public consumption. 29 year old Lyndon Thompson of Phoenix was charged with shoplifting.

Saturday night officers arrested 25 year old Edwin Patterson in connection with criminal damage to a vehicle at a business on Highway 60.

Greenlee County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25 year old Lawrence Dillon of San Carlos on a failure to comply warrant for shoplifting.
