Rafting permit applications for the Salt River Canyon Wilderness are now available for the 2012 season. Applications are submitted online at www.SaltRiverpermits.com.
A drawing will be conducted after the application period. Select applicants will have the opportunity to buy a permit for $125.
A Forest Service permit is required from March 1 through May 15 to raft the portion of the river which flows through the Salt River Canyon Wilderness.
