Arizona’s state debt per capita is the 9th lowest in the country. But the percent of Arizonans without health insurance is 16.9%, the nation’s 16th highest. The percent living below the poverty line is 16.3%, or the 13th highest.
Arizona’s 9.1% unemployment is the 18th highest in the nation.
The study found Wyoming to be the nation’s best run state. California is the worst.
