Holiday DUI Arrests Drop 25% in Three Years

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety says drunk driving arrests during holidays have dropped more than 25% in the past three years.

Around 2,300 people were arrested for driving drunk in Arizona between November 24 and this Wednesday. There were more than 3,100 arrests by holiday DUI task force officers during the same period in 2009.

The total number of traffic stops conducted by task force officers dropped by 26%.
