Police Log

Local fire agencies put out a structure fire on Kinnemur Ave. Saturday night. Damage was contained to the kitchen and roof areas.

Nobody was hurt in a hit and run accident yesterday morning on South Street.

Gila County Sheriff’s Deputies located a hit and run suspect shortly after an accident early Saturday morning in the Globe Canyon area. The driver was taken to the hospital and the case is pending further investigation.

A deputy took a report of threats made with a knife at a residence on Calle De Loma. The suspect was located and arrested on multiple charges. 27 year old Eddie Benavidez was charged with domestic violence/threats and intimidation, aggravated assault, criminal damage, false reporting, violation of an order of protection, and preventing the use of a telephone for an emergency. Benevides was also arrested on warrants for child support, contempt of court on a charge of criminal damage, and probation violation on a charge of assault from Apache County.

47 year old Todd Hamlet was arrested for domestic violence/disorderly conduct after a disturbance at Sunrise Mobil Home Park.

Depuites are investigating a burglary at a residence on Russell Road; criminal damage at a residence on Main Street; criminal damage to a trailer at Golden Hill Nursery; and a theft of fire wood from a residence on Albany Drive.

Globe Police arrested 27 year old Paul Botkin on a failure to appear warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Officers are investigating an armed robbery that took place on Saturday night and an assault at an address on South Devereaux;
