The fourth annual Southern Gila County Leadership Academy begins January 17. Participants will learn the nuts and bolts of government, local community groups and non-profits during the 10 week course. Classes will be on Tuesday evenings in the Supervisors’ hearing room at the Gila County Courthouse. Some Saturday field trips are also planned.
The Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce and Gila County are sponsors of the event, with several corporate sponsors. Tuition for the class is $100. Some scholarship aid is available.
