Tonto National Forest officials are seeking comments on the Travel Management Environmental Assessmant.
The first 30 day comment period ended yesterday. Officials decided to add another 30 day comment period based on public input and requests.
The proposed action involves a system of roads, trails and areas. The final product will be a Motor Vehicle Use Map that shows which roads and trails will be open to motor vehicle use.
A copy of the travel management environmental assessment is on the Tonto National Forest web site. Comments must be submitted by March 5. You can use a comment form on the Internet, or comment by mail, email or telephone.
