Police Log

The Gila County Courthouse was evacuated during the noon hour yesterday after a bomb threat. No bomb was found.

Miami Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Prospect Avenue. One man was contacted who would not identify himself. He was taken to the Miami Police station for further investigation. Once there, the man ran from the officer. He was caught and later identified. 37 year old Manuel Robles was charged with false reporting, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and an assault warrant.

Officers saw a small child run across Merritt Street who was almost hit by a passing car. The officers contacted the mother and found that she had an outstanding warrant from Maricopa County for fraud. 38 year old Karrie Moya was arrested for the warrant and taken to the Gila County Jail.

Mesa Police arrested 23 year old Vincent Doss of Globe on a failure to appear warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34 year old Raynelle Pizano on warrants for child support and shoplifting.

Deputies are investigating a burglary in Six Shooter Canyon, a theft at a business on Russell Road and a report of counterfeit money at the Claypool Circle K.
