Police Log

Nobody was hurt in a rollover accident last night in Six Shooter Canyon. But 18 year old Shawn Matthews was taken into custody for theft of means of transportation and felony criminal damage.

The Highway Drug Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop yesterday afternoon on Highway 60. Seven and a half pounds of methamphetamine was found in the vehicle with a street value of half a million dollars. 53 year old Sammy Mitchell of Tularosa, New Mexico was arrested and booked into the Gila County Jail.

18 year old David William and a juvenile were arrested for false reporting to law enforcement after a bomb threat early this morning at Walmart.

36 year old Joseph Spottedtail was arrested yesterday morning for trespassing at the Claypool Safeway.

Officers are investigating criminal damage at Copper Rim School, and criminal damage and removal of political signs at Shining Times Car Wash.
