Police Log


Five people were flown to a Valley hospital after a head on collision Saturday night on Wheatfields Road.

A dog was quarantined by  Gila County Rabies Control after a bite was reported Saturday morning on East Street.

A patient was flown to Maricopa Medical Center early Friday morning after being hit in the head with a baseball bat at a residence on Grover Canyon. The case is under investigation by the Gila County Sheriff’s Office.

Two people received minor injuries in an accident Friday night at Broad and Santee Streets. Both cars were towed.

A driver is under investigation for DUI after a single vehicle accident Friday night on Saguaro Drive.

Globe Police arrested 20 year old Benny Gudino on Saturday for a theft that was reported earlier in the week.

22 year old Vincent Duwyenie was arrested Friday night for domestic violence/assault after a fight at a residence on Sutherland.

Officers conducting routine security checks Friday night noticed suspicious activity at a business on East Ash.  It was discovered that a burglary had occurred  The case is pending further investigation.

Officers are investigating a domestic violence assault report taken last night at a residence on South High Street;  hit and run damage to a mailbox Friday night at a residence on Skyline; criminal damage to a business on North Broad Street; a theft at the Drift Inn; a theft at a business on Ash Street; shoplifting at a business on Highway 60; and a burglary at a busineess on Highway 60.

Yesterday the Gila County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50 year old Charles Ortiz for aggravated assault and criminal damage after smashing mail boxes on Calle de Loma. Ortiz also had a child support warrant.
34 year old Paul Paschall was also cited and released for aggravated assault.

Deputies responded to a fight Saturday afternoon at a residence on Globe Avenue. The suspect was gone when deputies arrived. The victim was treated by Tri City EMTs. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On Friday deputies arrested 18 year old Latrina Reyes for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription only drugs.

28 year old Brian McGaha was charged with disorderly conduct after a disturbance at Pueblo Heights Mobile Home Park.

Deputies are investigating a delayed domestic violence report taken at a residence on Globe Avenue; a burglary to a bus that had broken down on Highway 288; a report of a firearm taken from a vehicle that had been parked at the Claypool Circle K; a report of illegal dumping in the area of the Hershey Highway; a theft at a residence on Snedden; and a fraud report taken at a residence in Ice House Canyon.

Pinetop-Lakeside Police arrested 48 year old Jo Ann Nosie of Perdot on a failure to comply warrant for a bad check.
