Police Log


Saturday morning a Gila County Sheriff’s deputy noticed an unattended fire in the Six Shooter Canyon area at Chinatown.  Canyon Fire Department put out the fire.

Nobody was hurt in a single vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in the Oak Realty parking lot. A report was taken and the case is pending further investigation.

Saturday night a car hit a retaining wall on Russell Road. A hit and run report was taken and is under investigation.

No injuries were reported in a two vehicle accident Friday afternoon at a business on Highway 60.

A minor collision occurred on Highway 60 in Miami when a restaurant patron backed onto the highway and hit a car stopped at a red light. There were no injuries and the driver was cited.

A man walked into the Miami Police Department drinking a beer and making threats. Officers took the beer and a knife from 65 year old Glenn Sims and charged him with disorderly conduct and open container.

Miami Police arrested 55 year old Michael Keck for disorderly conduct.

Globe Police arrested 24 year old Anthony Stewart early this morning  at a residence on North Broad Street for kindnapping and aggravated assault.

After investigating a hit and run accident yesterday morning at a residence on Hunter Drive, officers arrested 19 year old Stephen Morales for reckless endangerment, hit and run, criminal damage and underage consumption.

48 year old Robert Holy was arrested for probation violation on a charge of promoting prison contraband.

On Saturday Globe Police arrested 53 year old Robin Wilson for assault at the Cinco De Mayo event in downtown Globe.

41 year old Deborah Walsh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct at a residence on East Cedar.

On Friday two juveniles were referred for shoplifting at Walmart.

Officers are investigating  a harassment report taken at Copper Country Mobile Home Park; a theft at  residence on Birch Street; a theft at Broad and Cedar Streets; counterfeit money reported at the Santee Circle K; and a counterfeit bill found on Yuma Street.

Yesterday the Gila County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27 year old John Falquez for domestic violence assault, disorderly conduct and false reporting to law enforcement.

On Friday 29 year old Ivan Barber of Albany, Oregon was arrested for burglary and trafficking in stolen property.

28 year old Terry Vinsant was arrested on Friday on a child supoort warrant.

Deputies are investigating a domestic incident that occurred on Cardinal Lane.
