Police Log


No injuries were reported in an accident yesterday afternoon in the area of High Street and East Ash.

Nobody was hurt in a two vehicle accident Friday around noon at Sycamore and Sutherland

There were no injuries in a two vehicle accident Friday night  at the Circle K on Santee Street.

On Saturday the Gila County Sheriff’s Office cited and released  45 year old Sandra Matta for disorderly conduct and fighting.

Three people were charged with disorderly conduct and domestic violence on Saturday. They were: 46 year old Jose Mendivil, 45 year old Dominic Pedro and 32 year old Billy Sanchez.

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office cited and released 52 year old Eloy Olivaz for driving with a suspended license.

Deputies are investigating criminal damage at the BHP-Pinto Valley mine; criminal damage to a residence in Four Star Mobile Home Park; a burglary at a residence on Snell; a burglary at  a residence on Grover Canyon; a theft at a residence on Walliman Road; and a theft at a residence on Pinal Canyon Road.

Florence Police arrested 32 year old Alfred Valtierra of Globe on a failure to comply warrant for criminal damage.

On Saturday Globe Police referred a juvenile for shoplifting at Walmart.

A runaway juvenile was reported late Saturday afternoon. The juvenile was later located at the park on Collins Street.  He was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs and booked into the Gila County Detention Center.

Officers are investigating a hit and run at a business on US 60; shoplifting at a business on US 60; a report of theft by fraud taken at a residence on Adriatic Avenue; and a burglary at a residence on Sycamore Street.
