The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a
pavement improvement project on US 60
beginning Monday, August 6. ADOT will resurface four miles of US 60 from the
60/70 junction to the Gila County Fairgrounds.
The $431,000 project is scheduled to be completed by the end
of August. It involves the placement of a microseal surface on the roadway. A
microseal is a mixture of asphalt, water and small rock that preserves and
extends the life of the pavement.
Pilot cars will guide vehicles through the work zone in
alternating directions. Work hours are 6:am to 7:pm Monday through Friday.
Drivers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes.
