No Longer Necessary to Boil Water in Globe

The City of Globe says that follow up water samples have come back negative. This means that the samples do not have the bacteria that were reported to have been found in the earlier sample. The report of  E. coli was apparently a false positive in the testing or an error in the sample.

This means that  Globe water is safe and has been safe. City officials apologize for the inconvenience but public notice of the E. coli test was required by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality as a safety precaution.

The Globe press release says they will continue to monitor the water quality and take increased measures to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.
