The Town of Miami is hosting two Public Meetings tomorrow (Thursday) at
10:am and 6:pm about a possible Brownfields Grant application. The
Town is applying for funds to perform a
community-wide assessment of Brownfields sites in the community.
Brownfields sites are properties that generally have not
been redeveloped because they are either contaminated or believed to be
contaminated by petroleum or hazardous materials.
During the meeting, Town representatives will discuss the
application and the application process. You will be given the opportunity to
ask questions and make suggestions for
use in the grant application.
Another meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 6.
A draft of the proposed application will be available
for public review at Miami Town Hall
from October 22 to November 13.
