The 25th annual Festival of Lights will take
place this Sunday at Besh Ba Gowah. Sixteen hundred luminarias will be placed
along the ruin walls.
There will be cultural performers from the San Carlos Apache
Reservation. The evening also includes entertainment by the local singing group
“The 40 Somethings,” and the Diamonds will play traditional and Spanish
Christmas music in the auditorium.
Santa Claus will be there taking pictures with children for
a small donation.
Visitors can warm up around the bonfire at the center of the
historic pueblo ruins. Hot cider, coffee, tea and cookies will be served.
The luminarias will be lit at 5:pm. The entertainment begins
and 5:30 and the park will close at 9:00.
Admission is free.
