Suspect Arrested in Connection with Central Heights Shooting


The Gila County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the January 9 shooting in Central Heights.

On Monday, deputies arrested 27 year old Gabriel Flores for the shooting of Sunrise Mobile Home Park resident Todd Hamlet. Hamlet is recovering in a Valley hospital from what are believed to be non-life threatening wounds.

Detectives are also looking for 25 year old Leon Brown in connection with the shooting. Brown is a black male with a large lettered tattoo across the front of his throat. He is 5’ 9’’ and weighs 140-155 pounds, with possible scars or a pocked complexion.

A third unidentified suspect is a black male with a thin build, who appears to be between the ages of 16 and 25.
