Globe-Miami is First AZ Community to 'Go WILD'

Globe-Miami is the first Arizona community to benefit from a new program to promote nature-based tourism called “Go WILD.” That’s because of its abundance of  birds, sheep and deer, and the number of volunteers already in the community.

The Arizona Watchable Wildlife Tourism Association has been able to help Globe-Miami gain local support, develop plans for programming and marketing, and to identify funding sources. They are working with the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce and other local resources to provide brochures and maps to be given to tourists.

This program is a model to be used by other Arizona communities. It is supported by the Arizona Office of Tourism and the Arizona Game and Fish Department  “Go WILD”  has already been nominated for a Governor’s Tourism award.
