Paving on US 70 East of Globe Begins May 14


The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin repaving four miles of US 70 between Peridot and Bylas  on Tuesday (May 14). The work is expected to be completed in late summer.

The $1.8 million project includes removing a layer of the existing pavement and repaving the roadway; asphalt improvements along the shoulder; and installation of a guardrail and new pavement markings.

Work hours will be sunrise to sunset.  Drivers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes.
