Police Log


Tri City Fire Department put out a fire Saturday morning at a residence on Glendale Avenue.

On Friday local fire agencies put out a brush fire in the creek behind Libby’s El Rey.

Three juveniles were referred to the juvenile detention center in connection with a fire Friday afternoon on Broad Street.

A hit and run was reported Friday afternoon on Highway 60.

There was a single vehicle accident Friday afternoon in the area of East Copper Hills Road.

A one-vehicle accident was reported Friday night on Highway 60.

Globe Police arrested 51 year old Eric Laguna and 36 year old Roy Reyes yesterday for criminal trespass at a home on Escalera.

20 year old Thomas Dorame was charged with resisting arrest after a fight in the area of the Federal Express building.

44 year old Constance Taylor of Litchfield Park was arrested Saturday morning in the area of Fairgrounds Road for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and promoting prison contraband.

48 year old Edward Godoy was arrested Saturday night for DUI.

56 year old Daniel Singh was arrested on a child support warrant.

On Friday 23 year old Levon Patton was arrested for shoplifting at a business on Hill Street.

Officers are investigating a possible assault at a business on Jess Hayes Road; a hit and run in the area of Broad and Cedar Streets; a criminal damage report taken at a residence on North Escudilla Drive; criminal damage at a business on North Broad Street; a fraud report taken at a residence on Linda Vista; and a report of threats taken at a business on East Ash.

On Saturday the Gila County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22 year old Brian Rodriguez for domestic violence/assault and criminal damage after a disturbance in Ice House Canyon.

21 year old Jon Jones was charged with possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of a drug and drug paraphernalia, and misconduct involving a weapon.

32 year old Karl Lopez was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and  a failure to comply warrant for disorderly conduct.

On Friday the Gila County Probation Office arrested  36 year old inmate Joseph Armendariz on a probation violation warrant for attempted production of marijuana. The Sheriff’s Office served Armendariz with a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

The Gila County Task Force  arrested  30 year old Andrew Whidden on warrants for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; driving under the influence of drugs with a suspended license; and unlawful flight from law enforcement. Whidden also had a DPS warrant for driving with a suspended license and a Miami PD warrant for assault.

Deputies are investigating criminal damage to a vehicle on Main Street in Central Heights; criminal damage to a vehicle on Central Drive;and criminal damage to a vehicle on Cherry Street in Country Club Manor.

Mesa Police arrested 30 year old Courtney Gutierrrez of Miami on a failure to comply warrant for endangering the life and health of a minor.

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23 year old Renita Shorten of Bylas on a failure to comply warrant for issuing a bad check.
