The City of Globe has released unofficial results of the Municipal Election.
The Home Rule Option—Proposition 300-- passed with about 64% of
the votes.
Roberta Johnson defeated James Gillette for Globe City
Council in District 3. Johnson had a
little less than 53% of the votes, Gillette around 46%.
Larry Alderman was unopposed in District 6.
Desmond Baker received 43 write-in votes in District 4, Sam
Palmer 22, Bernard Wohlforth 21 and Mike Stapleton 17.
Globe City Clerk Gina Paul says there are still about 50
ballots that need to be scanned. They hope to have official results by this
afternoon.
