The Globe City Council announced Monday night that they have
extended an offer to Timothy Truett to be Globe’s next Police Chief.
Truett is a 1986 graduate of Globe High School. He has more
than 20 years of law enforcement experience with the Arizona Department of
Public Safety, Maricopa County Community College District and the City of Maricopa.
Most recently, he was the Professional Standards Unit Supervisor for the
Maricopa Police Department.
The Council is still in the process of negotiating with Mr.
Truett and is waiting for some required documentation. They will take a more
formal action at a future Council meeting.
It is expected that Chief Truett will start in mid to late
November.
