Police Log

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release yesterday afternoon about an arrest made on October 8.
About 3:41am on October 8, deputies responded to a call about inappropriate and harassing text messages being received by a 14 year old girl.
Detectives interviewed and arrested 50 year old Randy Escobedo for luring a minor for sexual exploitation. Escobedo was booked into the Gila County Jail and held on a $12,000 bond which was posted on October 11.
The case has been forwarded to the Gila County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Yesterday morning Globe Police arrested 33 year old Lee Dieters at a residence on North Fifth Street for aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

Officers took a report of a missing juvenile. After an investigation they contacted the juvenile and 18 year old Anthony Leetham. The juvenile was referred to the Gila County Detention Center. Letham was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and taken to the Gila County Jail.

31 year old Andrew Ortiz was arrested yesterday on a child support warrant.

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office took reports of a burglary at a residence on Cypress Drive and a theft at a residence on Huie Street.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32 year old Daniel Toscano of Globe on a probation violation warrant for aggravated assault.
