The San Carlos Apache Tribe is one of seven tribes in
Arizona’s 1st District to receive federal safety grants from the US
Department of Transportation.
The tribe will use its share of the money for work on US 70
and a US Bureau of Indian Affairs intersection, and for a motor vehicle injury
prevention program.
