A Phoenix man was arrested last night for trying to set a
pickup truck on fire.
32 year old Justin Juarez was denied alcohol service at an
establishment on North Broad Street because he was intoxicated. He got into an
argument with another patron and was asked to leave. When Juarez went outside,
he took a 5-gallon gas can from the back of a pickup and poured it over the
truck. He tried to ignite the gasoline with matches but was unsuccessful.
Juarez fled the scene but was apprehended about 30 minutes
later. He was booked into the Gila County Jail on charges of attempted arson.
