Former local ADOT Engineer Rick Powers will give the presentation at Wednesday's program in the Miami Hardscrabble Series.
Powers will
discuss the evolution of transportation from the footpaths used by the early
Native Americans, through the development of wagon trains and railroads, and on to the
superhighways of today. He will also talk about early transportation modes such
as camels and even steam ships.
The presentation starts at 6:30pm on Wednesday (February 19) at the Bullion Plaza Cultural Center and Museum.
