Brewer Kicks Off Crime Victims' Rights Week

Governor Jan Brewer will help kick off Arizona Crime Victims’ Rights Week this morning (Monday) at the State Capitol by giving the 2009 Triumph Over Tragedy Award to Sharon Sikora. Sikora is a national activist and speaker on drunk driving issues and the survivor of a near fatal traffic accident caused by a drunk driver. Sikora is a past national vice president of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and a co-founder of MADD-Arizona. She is also a co-founder of the Ashes to Life support group and the Arizona Children’s Burn Camp.
