A federal judge has ruled that the
Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System violated federal law by discriminating against people who sought in-home care from the state’s
Medicaid program. The
Tucson Citizen reports that the judge upheld an injunction against AHCCCS in a class action lawsuit filed in 2000.
AHCCCS Director Anthony Rogers says the class action suit was based on isolated cases and does not reflect changes that have been made since the suit was filed.
