State Minimum Wage Goes Up a Dime

Arizona’s minimum wage will increase by ten cents on January first—up to $7.35 an hour. This will be ten cents more than the federal minimum wage.

The Arizona Daily Star reports that workers who receive tips will also get a ten cent increase, from the current $4.25 to $4.35.

Arizona voters created a state minimum wage in 2006. It was originally set for $6.75, with a provision for cost of living increases beginning in 2008.
