The Globe Boys and Girls Club announces that its unit has closed in order to reorganize.
This is happening because of financial problems caused by recent unsuccessful summer and after school programs, and loss of staff. In addition, the Globe unit’s parent organization -- the San Carlos Apache Nation Boys and Girls Club-- has given notice that their operating agreement is no longer valid and must be renegotiated with the Tribal Council.
The Globe unit’s press release says the board will continue to work with the National Organization to try to find another partner. If you would like to volunteer with the club or to help keep the club open, call 928-793-3926 and leave a message.
